My Project

As an English teacher, filling up the library to reflect the various backgrounds of students who read from it just seems smart. With your help, this project will fund the purchase of new books by authors of color who reflect the readership in my classroom and the world beyond.

Our nation is built on diversity, and the books that students read should reflect those diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

America is a nation of immigrants, and there are so many good middle-grade books out there that give excellent representation. Please help fill the shelves in my 7th & 8th grade ELA classroom with diverse stories & characters by diverse authors. Thank you!
