Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic English language learners that need a few tools to help them stay on track. 100% receive free lunch. They come to school full of enthusiasm, but they need even the most basic supplies, like pens, pencils, and notebooks. Many of them work after school to support their families.

Our school has a great track record of helping these students graduate with success; however, we have limited resources and do not always have the means to purchase essential tools and enhancements for our students to make them successful.

My Project

Books are a necessary part of our Graduation Worthy Research Project. We are doing work and using internet resources, but need to meet a requirement that we use offline resources to find evidence for our papers.

We need to research a current problem in the U.S.

and come up with a proposal for how to solve it. To do this, we need to know what we are talking about.

By reading perspectives by today's experts, we can inform our opinions and consider alternative perspectives. In this way, we can construct stronger arguments and develop important college skills in the process.
