My Project

We need a wide selection of reading books and interest levels for the students to choose from. My students love and enjoy reading, and new books will increase their interest and desire to read more as well as increase their reading stamina. My hope is to grow my classroom library! We read daily to work on our literacy skills and have discussions on various topics about what we read. We discuss books on a daily basis: authors, stories, genres, and themes.

Our class is in great need of books!

Reading for pleasure is a huge part of our class, and my job is getting them new books that they would want to pick up and read. They need good-fit books to read. Unfortunately, I have very few novels/graphic novels for each reading level in my classroom library. I would like very much to add more books for students reading at different levels. Reading daily hones essential skills such as vocabulary, fluency, and expanding comprehension.
