My Students
Do you remember what it was like to go school shopping at the beginning of the school year? My students are unable to because of the financial hardship. Let's start them off on the right foot this year by providing these items.
Our district is a high scoring district with “hard working” students.
The students have learned these skills from their parents, but their parents are struggling due to the economic times. These students perform at a level 1 or 2 on the FCAT test which is our state test.
My Project
I am requesting back to school supplies for my students. These supplies range from construction paper and artwork to dry erase markers and markers for the classroom. These simple supplies will allow my students to have a smooth transition from summer back into school. Also, if they start off the year with all of these supplies, the learning can begin as soon as they walk in the door.
This donation will help my students so much.
Many of them come from families that believe in them and want nothing but the best for them, but they are unable to support them financially. These simple school supplies will ensure that my students are starting the year off just like their peers from neighboring school districts that have the money for these supplies. This will help my students close the achievement gap.
