Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dear Donors,
My students need sensory sand to foster their creativity and social emotional learning.
My students will have the opportunity to express themselves as they create sand sculptures. They will also have the opportunity to relax while they sculpt the sand into their creations. Additionally the children will use the glue, wooden shapes, and sponges to create art collages. These open ended art activities will foster creativity, self expression, a sense of pride and accomplishment in my students. The children will use language to describe what they have created and how they have created it.
Together these materials will foster language, social emotional well being and creativity in my students. Thank you for your generosity.
