My Project

My special education students are enthusiastic learners. The supplies are needed to help them have a space in the classroom where they can take a break if they become overwhelmed or frustrated. It can help them de-escalate emotions or anxiety before they become overwhelmed.

A calming corner with fidget tools and sensory toys can provide a safe place for my students to regain their composure and feel safe.

Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.

A classroom calming corner is a positive space that can reward my students for keeping their emotions in check and using strategies to calm themselves so that learning can occur.
