This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you for considering a donation to our program. Our program supports middle school students in grades 6-8. All students in our program receive additional supports during their school day for social, emotional and behavioral issues.
Many of our students require breaks outside their classrooms in order to remain regulated and focused throughout their schools days.
Unfortunately our break space’s previous bean bag had to be thrown away, so we are currently looking to find a replacement.
Our students really enjoy using the bean bag frequently on their breaks. Often they will come in and use it as a sensory tool and will gently crash their bodies into it. Other times it’s just a comfortable place to sit and relax and talk to a staff member.
