Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

98% of my students come from low-income families, and 88% are learning English as an additional language. Their resiliency, humor, and perseverance are unmatched, and I want to do everything I can to make their learning environment everything they deserve.

My Project

After the past few years, I think we all need a laugh!

My students demonstrate resilience and incredible work ethic day in and day out.

39 out of 44 of my students are actively learning English as a second (or third) language, and the majority come from low-income homes and/or as refugees from other countries. Add in a global pandemic during their elementary years, and it's hard to believe (but easy to admire) the strength of my students. They work tirelessly each day, and I want to give them as many opportunities to laugh and smile as possible.

These materials will allow for indoor recess activities, humorous additions to my classroom library, and reward options for excellent behavior and great effort in the classroom. Every smile, every joke, every laugh means the world to me and my students. We thank you for your generosity and kindness!
