My Students

The students in my classroom are a mix of 3 and 4-year-olds who have been identified as having significant learning needs that require a small classroom with a special educator. My students have extremely limited language skills as well as many other developmental delays. They also have many strengths. They are excited to come to school, they love to play, and are eager to learn. Over 90% of students in our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

My students benefit from the structure of a rug to know where to play safely, especially in the block area. In order to have a rug we are required to sanitize it daily. We will use alcohol spray after school to keep our rug clean.

My students also need to be able to reach the sink in order to learn to wash their hands independently.

We need step stools so that the children can turn the water on and off.

I want to ensure that my students have a safe, stimulating environment where they can learn to work independently. All the materials from this project will be used directly by the students or help keep our classroom clean.
