Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know the feeling of going to a library or bookstore and picking out a book? It's the best feeling looking at a book with colors, in good shape, and interests you. Our classroom library is a little bare and includes books from the 1990s! I love seeing students excited about books!

My school is a school with great diversity.

The students get to interact with many others. In our first grade classroom, we have 30 students who are learning everyday! There are a group of students who see living in shelters and have a hard time using outside resources. I feel that having the resources in the classroom will make the students love and enjoy school more and more each day. Our class receives free breakfast and lunch daily. I want to to transmit my love of teaching into these young minds to help everyone succeed in life!!

My Project

By having a classroom library with new books, the students will be able to enhance their learning by using the books daily. The library is open for them to borrow books to take home and also read in class. These materials will be a huge success in their learning. With the colorful new books, it will keep their interest level high.

With your donations, my students' lives will be a positive change to their love of reading.

It is so important to show the students the importance of reading. With a new classroom library, they will be able to improve their reading skills and can expand their minds of thinking!
