This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Kindergarten ICT teacher at a Title 1 school in Staten Island NY. Many of our students are from low income families and/ or are asylum seekers. I am starting this donors choose project to hopefully get the supplies they need for a comfortable learning environment.

In our ICT classroom it is extremely helpful to have the lap desks, surf desks and seat spots as a comfortable space for students to work in small groups when they require extra support.

Our goal is to create a learning environment where they feel safe, comfortable and cared for. All of the supplies we are asking for would be used to help them learn this year.
