Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is important to have fun engaging books for students to read and listen to. But it is much more engaging having props and puppets to help support students in retelling the story, especially, those students that are learning a new language. I am requesting the Storytelling Kit that includes wonderful read alouds and storage rack that will help improve students' oral language and vocabulary. I will introduce the books to students so they can first listen to them and get to know the characters. Students will then have access to these books during center time. They will be able look at the books and retell the stories in their own words using the puppets.
