We are a fantastic group of second graders who are moving from learning to read to reading to learn. Our class is full of amazing personalities that are diverse and special, but we all have a commonality! We are so proud of ourselves for all of the hard work we have put in through these troubling months. We have readers who are already on to 3rd grade reading levels, and we have beginning readers that have begun to decode.
We have worked so hard this year on our love of reading, so this project will help us to see that there are many books to enjoy!
I would like for our class to have books that they will be interested in reading, no matter their level!
My Project
These materials will help the students to develop their love of reading. There are a lot of books here that will be read aloud as a class that we can enjoy together, but we also have books that the kids can read independently and enjoy by themselves.
I have included classics that I have not yet been able to buy for my classroom, but I also have books that include diverse characters that will help the students to understand that we all can be different!
We are very excited to read many types of books and talk about them in class.
