Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of my class in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan are amazing. There are 28 hard-working, multicultural, and eager students in this top 4th-grade class. Ours is a Title I school and all of the students in my class qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Almost all of the students speak Spanish in their homes and English at school. My students are Dominican, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Ecuadorian.

Simply speaking, my students are exceptional and deserve the best education, opportunities, and technology.

My Project

One of the most vital tools of learning in an elementary classroom is a top-notch pencil sharpener. Each day, my students need sharpened pencils in order to complete their daily assignments. Finding a high-quality pencil sharpener that will last throughout the school year is no easy task. Our first two sharpeners are already broken due to constant daily usage.

This amazing pencil sharpener will save time and help keep my students on task.

Instead of having dull and broken pencils, this sharpener will allow my students to quickly sharpen several pencils and be ready to learn for the rest of the day.
