Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. They are active, kind, talented, and curious students who love learning.

I teach kindergarten students at a high-poverty school in Brooklyn, NY.

It is a brand new school with tons of potential. The school includes students from pre-k to first grade , and it is a melting pot of children from all around the world. About ninety-five percent of the students in the school receive free lunch.

My Project

My students love learning especially during center time. It's one of our busiest time and most exciting. Because it's an exciting time, many of our materials don't last or get lost. I would love to restock materials so my kindergartners can have what they need to succeed and be independent. They could use clipboards and dry erase erase boards to name a few.

My students get excited about learning when the materials are new, creative and colorful.

These materials will be used to create centers that will build independence. I love to see how imaginative their little minds are, when given the opportunity! Thank you for helping my students grow.
