Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of my class in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan are amazing. There are 27 hard-working, multicultural, and eager students in this top 4th grade class. Ours is a Title I school and all of the students in my class qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Almost all of the students speak Spanish in their homes and English at school. My students are Dominican, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Ecuadorian.

Simply speaking, my students are exceptional and deserve the best education, opportunities, and technology.

My Project

My students love to listen to music throughout the day while they are working in class. The music assists in our classroom's positive atmosphere. This BOSE portable speaker will be used to play music and it will also be hooked up to other educational platforms. The portability and quality of the speaker makes it a perfect match for our classroom.

This speaker will be amazing because my 4th graders get the opportunity to participate in a ballroom dancing program every Spring Semester.

They learn how to dance merengue, foxtrot, rumba, tango, swing, and the waltz. This speaker will be a great asset in helping the students practice dancing to the songs.
