My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students have Autism but are very eager to learn and try new things.

I am a first year teacher and my classroom has very limited resources and materials. With your help my students will get what they need and deserve.

My Project

As I write this request, my students are enjoying some time with our visiting music therapist that was brought to us by a grant for a few months only.

I am requesting the instruments that she is currently using with them, such as the hand drums, djembe, shakers and tamborines.

Seeing them engaging in learning through music is a joy that I hope to bring to my classroom.

I could successfully incorporate many lessons with music as I see how well they are responding to it. Some of my students have never seen instruments before this and I know they would enjoy having their own instruments for our classroom.
