My Project

Graphic novels are very popular among my students. They are constantly looking for these books in our school library. I would like to add a variety of graphic novels to my classroom library so my students can continue to develop their reading skills and a lifelong passion for reading.

Graphic novels provide an active reading experience for students as they are constantly tracking both images and text, using the layers of information within graphic novels to infer meaning.

Graphic novels can also improve comprehension as they present information in multiple formats, and research has shown that they can improve students' reading skills.

Graphic novels feature diverse and engaging characters, and plots that are as complex as their chapter book counterparts. Most of all, graphic novels help students experience book joy and that is something that all students should experience.
