My Project

We love reading in first grade! Learning to read is not only critical, it's lots of fun! It is such an important part of first grade and having access to quality literature improves the experience.

I love using high-quality books in our classroom.

I'm excited for our new, knowledge-building curriculum and want to collect class sets of books that align with the things we're learning. The book on pyramids will align with our unit on "Early World Civilizations." The Frog Prince book will align with our unit on "Fairy Tales." I would love to have a class set of these books so that students can follow along as I read to them. Then, as they are ready, they can read the books with a partner or to themselves.
