My third grade Spanish Dual Immersion class is eager to learn and become great thinkers, in both Spanish and English. They are ready to learn about the constantly changing world around them. As they continue to grow their dual language abilities and become amazing bilinguals, students are excited to listen and read independently, especially culturally diverse books.
Our school reading program allows students to choose books that interests them, to choose books they want to read, at the same time they are meeting leaning standards.
Having these additional Spanish books in our classroom library will greatly help my students have a variety of books to choose from! Allowing them to choose books on topics that interests them, helps them enjoy reading and makes their love of reading continue to grow! Giving them choice not only keeps their interest, they also choose books that are not too hard or too easy, just perfect!
The books in this project will definitely bring a positive impact for my bilingual students.
