My Students

When I step in front of my classroom at the beginning of the day and look at my students, I know that a great day awaits me. My students greet me with smiles, questions, and eager faces; they are ready to learn, and I am ready to teach them all that I can.

My students are incredible, curious, adept, and capable learners.

My students speak different languages (over 19 languages at our school) and all have tremendous talent to share with each other. My students jump into their daily learning with zeal. They work together, laugh together, learn together, and share everything in their classroom community.

My Project

Our students love to read!

Help us start a Black history section of our classroom library with these awesome Black History books, as well as Harry Potter books to read together!

We are celebrating Black History Month in our class with a daily feature about different black history leaders who have made an impact on the world through their contributions! This project will give my students the opportunity to celebrate Black History month by helping us create a Black History section in our class library! We want to start filling a shelf dedicated solely to famous individuals in Black History and we need your help!

This February, these books we are requesting will teach us about important contributions from leaders like Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King Jr, Ella Fitzgerald, Ruby Bridges, John Lewis, and more!

Students also love the magical adventures of Harry Potter and we would like to have these books to read together as a class. Because of the pandemic, these book sets of Harry Potter will allow each student to read their own copy of the book, so that we can better follow social distancing guidelines.

Let's create our first Black History section of our class library and go to Hogwarts with Harry Potter! Please support this project today. Thank you.
