Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every word a student reads is a step toward a brighter future. Every six weeks, our unit theme changes. During our "Pet Vet" unit, students learn about various animals, how to care for them at home, roles of a veterinarian, where to purchase pet supplies, obedience school, they learn about groomers, endangered spices and which animals you should not have as a pet. I would like books about animals to make an impact during our buddy reading sessions. Buddy reading is when students pair with a partner and take turns reading to one another.

This year, we’ve set a bold goal: 100% of our students will grow in reading. Your support is essential to achieving this vision—ensuring every student has the skills and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
