My Students

Our students are our future. My students come from a very low income area but don't let that define who they are. They are kind hearted and eager to learn when they come to school. I want to give them a space where we can grow together and achieve our goals as a class and as individuals. I want them to come in everyday and know that I care for their learning and want to develop them as a person.

My Project

As a first year teacher I am trying to find new ways for my students to enjoy reading. Many of my students are not high readers and I want to give them new and different opportunities to enjoy reading. With these Storyworks magazines I can create lessons where we can enjoy reading together or as groups. This way I can build our reading skills and our social skills. My students many everything to me and my school and our main goal this year is to improve out reading skills and get our students to succeed on state testing and improve confidence!!
