My Students

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Benjamin Franklin. My students are curious, ambitious and creative. Many of my students are English Language Learners. As a team, their families and I are working hard to help them achieve success. They are very curious, and are learning through hands on exploration. They are explorers.

My students show enthusiasm when coming to school, and excitement when participating in exploration activities.

We work hard to encourage family participation in all aspects of the children's education. As our school continues to grow, our children are growing with us.

I am looking for new ways to encourage independence in my students. We are always looking for new ways to encourage the students to explore their surroundings.

My Project

As ELL learners, my students will use the materials in their visual aids. These materials will allow the students to visually tell a story by taking photo's of their work and play and printing them out to use as a reference. The use of photography is very important in the student's ability to retell information.

My students will be able to take a photo of something they created outside, with sidewalk chalk, and bring this image into the classroom to be recreated as a painting or block project.

The students are able to record themselves playing or take G photo of something they would like to Share in class or at home. Being able to give the students a visual aide, as they retell what their day was like, helps them to develop their language skills.

My students will benefit from these materials, by being able to verbally express their thoughts, share exciting experiences with friends and family, and be able to proudly display art work, which would not traditionally be able to be displayed.
