My Project

As an intervention specialist, I work closely with students who face challenges in reading and writing. My classroom is filled with eager learners who simply require a bit more time and focused instruction to achieve their academic goals. Central to my approach is the ability to consistently assess my students' progress, allowing me to tailor my teaching to their specific needs. The G2 gel pens will serve as invaluable aids in this endeavor. By replacing traditional pencils with pens, we eliminate the option to erase errors, providing me with clear insight into the areas where my students require further support and attention.

We have developed a culture within my classroom that celebrates mistakes as evidence of hard work and learning.

The introduction of these pens not only reinforces this mindset but also complements it perfectly alongside the use of folders. These folders serve as indispensable tools, acting as portfolios that showcase the decodable texts we've explored throughout the year alongside ongoing assessments. As time progresses, students can refer back to these folders, independently correcting mistakes in their assessments. Together, these tools play a crucial role in our ongoing efforts to embrace and learn from our mistakes, contributing to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
