My Students

Each of my students have the most incredible personalities. Their eagerness to participate and engage with one another undeniable. Distance Learning has been incredibly challenging for our students because they like most kids, benefit from hands-on learning.

My students have multiple disabilities with orthopedic impairments and deserve a chance to also participate in learning while at home.

Fortunately they are blessed with loving families who look after their activities of daily living but they are lacking the resources and learning support that their classroom provides.

My Project

These materials that I am asking for help with are essential to providing the most effective instruction with the student population I work with. Laminated images or worksheets make them reusable and the machine I'd been using the last several years finally went kaput!

Printing images in color makes such a difference with our student's engagement, it is too bad that producing them is so pricey.

The additional lamination sheets will serve each of my students with reusable content. The foam tubing is great to use for adapting writing tools so that some of our students are able to grip them. Wikki Stix are fantastic to use for our tactile learners with limited visual abilities. Glue is always in short supply and an essential tool for hands-on learning projects. Construction paper is all in different colors which will be sure to add the color to the projects my students create. The Ziplock baggies will serve to sort the different colors of paper scraps created. The pocket chart will replace the current system of goal tracking for each student as they will now each have their own folder. The bubble wrap and Velcro strips are also classroom tools that can be used in many different lessons supporting progression of fine motor skills.
