Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fortunately, students visit the school or public library on most days of the week. They are constantly being exposed to different styles of writing and are able to choose genres of their own interest. So now is the perfect time for students to write their own stories. With blank journals pencils, and crayons. Students will see themselves and their peers, not only as readers but as writers and/or illustrators. Students will undoubtedly transform from the more passive role of the reader of the library to a more powerful role of the creator. There are so many stories to tell.
