My Project

New York City Public School teachers receive $250 for classroom technology, resources, and supplies-which covers little to nothing, especially for a teacher like me who services about 350 students per week. I spent my Teacher's Choice money before the students even walked through the door in September. Now more than ever, we need additional resources to support our students.

I'm requesting consumable classroom essential items such as pencils, tissues, batteries, and Febreze.

This year I have the fantastic opportunity to teach English as a New Language (ENL) through visual arts. As an ENL teacher, I teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking through the arts. First, students explore artwork by famous artists by listening, speaking, and writing about them. Then, students attend, read and write about the artists. Last, students create artwork inspired by the artist. These art projects motivate my students to be creative but also consume lots of supplies each week. I'd really appreciate your help in getting my students the basic supplies they need and deserve.
