Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students of the band are a bright, kind, and caring group of students. But living in the heart of Little Havana means that the necessary materials for creating music can be prohibitively expensive. I would love to give them the opportunities to play the Latin music they feel connected to, but we are lacking the auxiliary hand percussion instruments necessary to make it.

This project will help supply the percussion section with the instruments needed to allow the students to create Latin music every day and enjoy their time in the band!
