My Students

Many students dream of becoming actors when they grow up. I'd like to make them famous within our school right now!

My 650 plus enthusiastic students are in kindergarten through sixth grade at a neighborhood elementary school in Minnesota.

They come from diverse families, cultures and backgrounds but have a common pride in attending our school and learning from each other.

My Project

We will utilize the Flip Camcorder to complete multiple projects with students which will impact all students at our school. Throughout the year students will create videos teaching other students about making good behavior choices through our Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program. These clips will be shown on all classroom SMART Boards at the beginning of the year and at various times during the year. Students will also use the Flip to create anti-bullying messages and commercials in order to help create a positive and accepting climate at school. Additionally, we have seven core values our school follows. We will use the Flip to create videos educating students on the values and the importance of demonstrating them to be the best learners they can be. Every student in our school will be impacted by the use of the Flip Camcorder.

The Flip Camcorder will allow students to utilize their creativity to create videos that will impact our entire school population.

They will gain responsibility for creating a positive school climate which will increase the student pride in our school and themselves as they become engaged and motivated students.
