Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When you are one of our students, you are part of the family. Our school has a tradition of pride and excellence, as well as a tight-knit community. Our students love to participate in learning opportunities of all kinds, including our book clubs and literacy experiences that deepen their knowledge and connect them with others, their community, and with history.

My Project

Our high school students are thoroughly enjoying our newly minted “Reading Wednesdays” across all reading and literature classes in our school. As their librarian, I’m trying my best to keep up with their daily requests and reading demands! This project is to meet the stated and specific needs of our students mainly for individual choice reading but also for small group and classroom reading. These books cover a range of subjects, genres, series, and author requests as well as book club reads. They will be read many times over by our current and future students!
