Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my kids the opportunity to help others with their crocheting skills. My students enjoy helping their community in many ways: bringing snacks to food pantries, reading to children in elementary schools, beautifying nearby parks, and donating clothes to shelters.

With the yarn and crochet hooks I will purchase using your donations, my students will use their crocheting skills to create scarves, mittens, and hats to provide to the disadvantaged.

My students are also interested in joining Operation Gratitude, a project that requires students to crochet scarves and hats to donate to US Troops.

In addition to giving back to others, crocheting gives students an outlet that builds their patience, character, and creativity. This project will be a gift that keeps on giving.
