Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have the latest lunch of the day and about halfway through the morning the students become hungry. They repeatedly ask when lunch is and they have trouble thinking and processing while they are hungry. I sometimes bring snacks but that isn’t always feasible for me. A gift like this would alleviate their hunger and my budget. Although I know it won’t last forever at least for a time there would be some relief. Not all of the students are hungry and some do bring their own snack but being from a Title I school there are more kids with nothing than something. Students are able to concentrate and be so much more successful when they are not hungry.
