My students are amazing, creative, unique individuals who grab on to what we're learning with both hands and make it special.
Though our campus is isolated, it is truly diverse.
Our special school has students from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds including Marshall Islands, Samoa, and the Philippines.
My students are glorious middle school students who love active, happy classrooms with lots of technology integration. They thrive in creative environments and share their love of learning every day. They are enthusiastic singers, leaders, and tech experts that inspire and challenge me every day.
They have weathered this last year of the pandemic like true champs with distance and on-campus learning, but they are ready to be back in school!
My Project
During this pandemic one of the hardest things for my CHORUS students has been the inability to sing safely together. However, it has not stopped us from appreciating and learning as much as we can about music.
Since we can't sing due to COVID restrictions, my students would like to learn Piano.
I would like to have my students be able to alternate between working on their theory & reading music and actually practicing that theory by learning to play piano.
Music students are currently studying Music History and learning to read Music and these pianos will truly enhance their Music knowledge and retention.
