My Project

My STEAM classroom serves 650 students in a Title I school with 65% of students on free and reduced-price meals. Each week I have 30 classes of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders pass my door for fun and exciting lessons and activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

My students enjoy when we incorporate music as part of our Art curriculum, especially when it supports and enhances our other lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

The kalimba is an instrument we will use not only for making and performing music, but we can also learn all the amazing science, technology, and engineering behind it.
