My Students

My students are creative, out of the box thinkers who have a love for learning. This is a group of fourth graders in California coming from a variety of backgrounds with over 40% learning English as a second language. They are all eager to learn and create new experiences. Our school strives to create a rich learning environment and offer a variety of learning opportunities for students to grow as individuals in the classroom and out. They are excited about their education and I would love to give them the proper tools to keep growing.

My Project

Math automaticity is an essential element in the attitude and effort that students feel towards mathematics. The fluency kit will allow my students to maintain the positive outlook they have on math and increase their knowledge and understanding.

The ETA kit help my students understand the concept behind the automaticity.

Rather than just memorizing numbers for the sake of memorizing, it will help enable them to understand the conceptual understanding behind them. Once students are able to understand the concept behind automaticity harder math concepts will come easier to them. Having a positive outlook on math will help them enjoy math and keep their love for learning in future years.
