My Students

My students are special because they are the hardest working individuals I have ever met. I am the Interventionist Specialist so I see each grade level 4 days a week for 45 min. They come because they need a little extra help in reading and math.

They are starting to blossom and grow as learners and gain the confidence they need to succeed.

They come to me shy, embarrassed, and very unsure of their academic abilities.

I have seen a huge improvement in them in the short time I have had them.

My Project

COVID has left our students scared, anxious, frustrated, and in some cases emotional wrecks. These resources will help them read stories that relate to their feelings and emotions in a small classroom environment. They are not only unsure about how they feel they also feel like they are not good enough academically. These books will help fill the 5 competencies the Nevada State has set for Social Emotional Learning.

The magnetic tiles will give them opportunities to work together to build and create.
