Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in the Bronx, where students are as unique and special as they come. Different backgrounds, varied interests, unpredictable home lives, and educational performance levels calls upon us teachers to give it all we got! I currently teach as a self contained teacher in a 4th and 5th grade classroom.

My students keep me giggling and on my toes consistently, and I do my best to ensure they have materials and experience that assists them to learn and succeed.

My Project

Math centers are an amazing way to get your students to take a more active role in their learning. If designed effectively, math centers can provide much-needed review, practice, and enrichment for students that is differentiated to meet students' needs and interests. My students will have the opportunity to practice their multiplication and division skills with the help of these games. For those students who are not comfortable with multiplication and division can practice with addition and subtracting games.

When learning, you can always have fun too!

With these amazing materials, my students will build fluency when practicing facts, they will be able to work in groups, and practice their skills in different ways.

I will continue to have the opportunity to work individually or with small a group while my other students are learning different math skills at each center. The Flex-Space comfy seat would benefit my students who are on the rug for instruction.
