My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school, I cannot expect my students to succeed without providing materials for them to do so. Once they have the right equipment, my students are able to take part in all of the learning opportunities I can offer. I don't want my students to worry about the materials, but focus on learning and growing throughout the year.

My school is a Title I school and every student receives free breakfast and lunch daily.

Many students come from families that cannot provide all the essentials for back to school. Some families try to provide what they can, but we need to share materials inside the classroom. Please help us to start off 2016 - 2017 in the best way possible - Learning!

My Project

The materials that I am requesting are essential for my students to be able to learn. We use crayons and pencils for most activities at the beginning of the school year. My first grade students love to write and the journals will help keep them organized. My students are really engaged with the dry erase markers where they write and build words throughout our phonics lessons. I will use the chart paper to create charts for my students to use all year long!

All of these supplies will help get our year off to a smooth start.

Students will have the supplies they need and not worry about being able to afford them. I appreciate your support because my students will benefit from classroom supplies ready for their use.
