My Project

As the youngest in the building, my students are learning self-help skills. We have spills and accidents often. With your help, my students will feel confident in pouring their own water and/or using the bathroom by themselves. Accidents happen and that is ok. When they do happen, having clothes for them to be able to change into helps to relieve a sometimes stressful or anxiety-filled experience for the students. The pop-its are for when they need something to help them relax after cleaning up. Having accidents for some students can be a very emotional experience. The pop-its will be in the cozy corner (their safe space in the classroom).

Independence helps with growth; emotionally, and physically.

The hats and gloves are for my students to always be able to come to school and return home warm during these cold New York winters. No matter at school or at home, I want my students to feel safe and warm.
