This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first-year library teacher, I have the wonderful responsibility of teaching multi-levels, first grade through fifth grade. I see the entire school every week.

Our students are spanish speakers who are transitioning into English.

They come from Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. Our students are very inquisitive and have a real zest for learning. They also have a tremendous desire to learn English, and enjoy new experiences.

We are training our students to believe that they can become anything they wish to become!

My Project

We are asking for help with keeping our learning environment clean once we return to school. We have some students whose family have chosen the face-to face learning, and some who are distance learning. Usually, I see 700 students, sadly, we have lost a number of students to social hardships during the pandemic. We want to be sure that when we all return that everyone is served, and that everyone is safe. We are asking for hand sanitizer, and cleaning products. We also need enough supplies were students will not have to share, as a safety precaution.

Please help us continue student growth in a loving, nurturing and safe environment.

We used to be totally consumed with teaching and learning, but these days, we have to be mindful and diligent about enhanced cleaning protocols, and student separation. We will need to make sure that students do not share supplies. Your donation will help to make sure that we have enough supplies to go around.

My students are ages, 5-10, when I speak to them, they simply want to return to school., and be with their friends. We will return next month. We will definitely have to put safety first. Please help us help ourselves, as we enter this unchartered territory.
