Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students are going to use these resources to have a lunch break filled with mental peace. They will learn to sew, design fashion, decorate shirts, and make bracelets.

My goals for this project are to give students a mental break during the day.

For kids high school is a stressful time and there are days when they need a distraction from their hectic academic days. This will also provide a creative outlet which helps students express their inner thoughts in a positive manner. Lastly, my goal is to help students tap into talents they did not know they had and develop lasting friendships. It is amazing how students bond when they are allowed to share together in tasks they enjoy.

My students are special because they are resilient. They thrive and show up even on days when I am aware of difficulties that they are facing that are heart breaking. They deserve something unique to make them feel at ease and forget their problems.
