This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 7th grade ELA teacher in a title 1 school. Often times, not having basic materials becomes a major barrier between students achieving academic growth. When provided with consistent access to materials, the opportunity to engage with learning becomes routine. When students begin to see the results of the work they put in daily they begin to believe in themselves. As the teacher I feel a moral obligation to have the basic materials available at all times to eliminate as many barriers as possible. Thank you for your donations.
