Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at an inner-city elementary school as an RTI Reading teacher. My groups range anywhere from 6-10 students at a time and they can be from Kindergarten through fifth grade. The majority of my students are living below the poverty line and many live in overcrowded apartments.

I love the energy and excitement they have when they enter my classroom.

They always try their best to succeed.

My Project

Whether we are learning from home or in school this year, Raz-Kids is a necessary part of my reading program. My students struggle with reading and literacy is not reinforced in most of their homes. My students love reading their independent books on phones, tablets, and/or computers. They enjoy choosing books of various genres.

Raz-Kids motivates them to read more and this translates into SUCCESS!

I love to see how much time and effort they put into their independent reading on Raz-Kids. They are so happy and proud when they can move up levels.
