This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My first graders are amazing students who come to school ready to learn every day! Throughout the day, we use lots of classroom supplies, and these supplies need to be organized so that students and teachers can access them readily. In the classroom, it's important to use positive language that builds students up and help them feel welcome. Posters with these messages will serve to remind students to be their best selves all day.
Our classroom needs brightly colored organizational supplies and classroom decorations that share messages of inclusion and positivity to help grow our classroom culture.
We will use the organizational supplies for all the books, papers, and materials we use over the course of the day, and the posters will be hung up around the classroom and at the doorway; their messages will help students feel a sense of belonging in our room!
