This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is filled with students who have a variety of different needs. Some of my scholars have disabilities, some are English second language learners, some have emotional needs, and others simply need to be motivated. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Despite the obstacles they face on a daily basis, they come to school ready to learn. I love to see their eyes light up with smiles on their faces when they want to participate in a large group discussion to show they have grasped the skill that was taught during early instruction.

This year has been a rough adjustment for my students.

As teachers, we have worked hard to maintain normalcy in our classroom environment . To help our students not feel the negative effects of what has been going on for the past year, I've tried to give my scholars the education, guidance, love and support they needed to be positive, happy and successful third graders while under my care.

These sand pails will be used for our Earth Day until where students can plant an watch their seeds come to life as well as be repurposed for summer fun at the beach!
