Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The two amazing classrooms that I work in have six wonderful kindergarten students on the Autism spectrum. They are in a specialized programs in NYC Public Schools for students with moderate to severe autism, where we focus on individualized instruction in social skills, communication, and life skills.

The materials in this project will give my students new learning materials for their independent work stations to help them practice and maintain skills they have learned in school.

The puzzles will help my students learn in a way that is fun and engaging. The busy books will allow my students to learn and practice focusing for an extended period of time. The magnetic tiles will be something my students can earn to play with at the end of their workstation.
