My Project

Hello, I am entering my 9th year of teaching high school. This year I am teaching 9th grade Global History and 12th grade Government/Econ; I am both a general education and special educator teacher in all of these settings. I am passionate about creating an equitable and anti-racist classroom along with ensuring that all students, no matter what their abilities, can be successful and feel confident in the classroom.

With supplies such as glue sticks, scissors, and colored pencils, I will be able to continue to facilitate interactive lessons using interactive notebooks which brings history alive for students.

I will store the supplies in the 3 tiered rolling cart I am requesting, so they can easily access them while working to build skills such as active note taking, active listening, and fostering independence. For examples; the highlighters will be used to...highlight important information. Pens and pencils will be used every day to annotate with.

The fruit snacks I am asking for are to keep my students fueled considering most don't eat until they go home. I will put all these snacks and some supplies in the bins that are also on my wish list. Hopefully having these snacks, other motivational sensory items, and much needed supplies will help students become engaged in the classwork.
