Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, caring, and empathetic leaders who love school. Each day, my students arrive with a smile on their face, eager to try new things and grow as learners. Our school strives to find a leader in each of them and believes every child has unlimited talents and strengths.

My Project

We all agree that now, more than ever, students need social and emotional support!

A basic calming kit is key to enable my students to cope during stressful situations, as well as to provide supports to increase their social emotional well-being.

These materials will be used to help them recognize emotions, what triggers their emotions, and positive ways to cope with those emotions. Positive coping skills are essential to a positive academic experience. Therefore, I want my students to have their own personal calming kits.

Each kit will include calming tools such as stress balls, blank books, markers, Play-Doh, etc. Students will use these tools when they need to self-regulate and refocus their energy.

By funding this project, you will be supporting my students’ emotional growth. Thank you for your help!
