I am a Science Specialist in a school with a population of around 450 students. We will use the items described below and my laptop computer. We have one Robotics team made up of 5th grade students. I would like for my students to benefit from an LCD projector to attach to my computer. This projector will enable me to project images from my computer to a screen that all students can easily see. They will benefit because all the students will be able to see the screen at the same time. This will primarily be used in my after school Robotics class. The national theme this year is Ocean Odyssey, and the students themselves chose to name our team Waves of the Future. The Robotics class will use Lego Mindstorms technology, Lego bricks and other elements such as sensors, motors and gears. Teams will conduct scientific research, design, build, and test a fully autonomous robot. They will then compete in a robotics event especially designed for their age group. Students will learn to program their robot using a computer. They will use real world problems and hands-on experiences to build talents, discover possibilities, and create aspirations that last a lifetime. This experience will benefit each and every student who participates on our team.
